The Burden of Time // Track 5

Spinning Wheel

Lyrics

The days all blur, another sunrise,
A silent film behind my tired eyes.
Yeah, the whole world turns, yeah, it moves along,
But my feet are stuck right where it all went wrong, can’t move on.

And I’m trapped inside this spinning wheel,
With a future that they said was real.
The cards are dealt, a game I didn’t choose,
But standing still means everything to lose!

The rain outside just paints the streets in grey,
Washing pieces of my soul away.
They say that time will heal this open wound,
But I’m just numb inside this empty room, consumed!

Yeah, I’m trapped inside this spinning wheel!
With a future that they said was real!
The cards are dealt, a game I didn’t choose,
But standing still means everything to lose!

But I won’t just fade and disappear, NO!
This struggle means that I am still here, SCREAMING!
Without the fight, there’d be no air to breathe, I CHOKE!
This is my life, a meaning I will weave, I WILL WEAVE!

Meaning

This one reflects the experience of being stuck while everything continues forward. Time moves, routines repeat, and life progresses externally. Internally, it feels like standing in the same place, watching everything pass without gaining ground. At some point, that pressure builds into a reaction. There is a moment where staying still becomes heavier than pushing forward. The struggle itself starts to carry meaning. Movement becomes a decision rather than a feeling. It is not about clarity or direction. It is about refusing to remain in the same cycle and choosing to act, even without certainty. There is something raw in that shift. A refusal to disappear quietly. The realization that even fighting without a clear path still means you are alive. That struggle, as uncomfortable as it is, becomes the only thing that feels real.
